There is a dental clinic in California that helps its patients calm down while undergoing dental procedures in a special way.
Corte Madera Family Dentistry is known for having a therapy dog who helps anxious and nervous patients while undergoing dental procedures. Kismet, a 13-year-old Chihuahua, helps Dr. Cameron Garrett in appeasing his patients during their dental appointment.
Kismet helps in lowering the blood pressure and keeping the patients relaxed while sitting on the dental chair.
Dr. Garrett’s wife, Debra, also enjoys the presence of Kismet at the clinic. The cute dog brings joy to everyone at the office. She even serves as an inspiration to the staff so that they’ll go to work regularly.
Who is Kismet?
Kismet was once a stray dog before she was brought to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco, California to be rehomed. She was definitely in terrible shape when she was brought to the shelter. Kismet had a cancerous tumor, hernia, and periodontal disease. She needed thousands of dollars to help her regain her health.
Despite her rough and traumatic past, Kismet is a sweet and loving dog. She loves getting cuddles and rarely barks.
Debra decided to adopt Kismet despite her old age because she and her husband value the quality of years over quantity. The couple has a heart for taking care of senior dogs.
Muttville Senior Dog Rescue is passionate about giving senior dogs a second chance in life. It was founded by Sherri Franklin, a rescue worker and animal advocate, in 2007. The staff of Muttvile spread wonderful and unique words about taking care of old dogs so that they will be adopted. Debra’s previous dog, Karma, is from the same shelter too.
You’re doing an excellent job in calming patients, Kismet! Keep up the superb work!
