Stories of puppies being thrown away or abandoned will surely break your heart. These will even make you question the humanity of these poor pups’ respective owners. Still, there are plenty of heroic and kindhearted people who are doing their best to make this world a welcoming place for pooches.
A puppy in the state of Idaho is already recovering after reportedly being tossed out of a vehicle traveling on a highway. A woman flags a trooper from the Idaho State police after seeing the puppy being thrown out of the car window.
Rescuing the puppy
The unnamed Good Samaritan is not able to give the police any information about the driver of the vehicle. But she decides to stay with the puppy until appropriate help arrives. According to Brandon Blake, a responding officer, he is shocked that someone would do this to a small puppy – regardless of how someone feels about dogs.
Fortunately, the little pup is not seriously injured. The West Valley Humane Society says that the Shih Tzu, which is estimated to be about 10 weeks old, has some road rash around his paws and mouth. Otherwise, it is fine and stable.
In a social media post, the animal shelter gives an update about the dog. It says that the pup is getting plenty of love and receiving the right care for its wounds. Should a suitable owner not be found, the woman who rescued the puppy offered to adopt it.
Finding the dog’s owner
Fortunately, the police department is able to connect with the dog’s original owner. Apparently, the dog has been reported stolen in Nampa. Rosario Nunez, the owner of the dog, told a news station that she was very mad, sad, and upset at the same time after hearing what has been done to her puppy, whose name is Panda. She has further stressed that one has to treat dogs like family.
