Different companies have attempted to make life easier for pet owners. One way to make their lives easier is by understanding what their dogs feel. Because of this, a company in South Korea has developed a collar with an application. This gadget was developed to analyze a dog’s feelings.
The director of the said company, Andrew Gil, said that the application would read a dog’s bark. Their system would translate that bark, and the result will be sent back to the application in real-time.
Before the collar was developed, the company had to collect barks. They have collected more than 10,000 barking samples from 50 different dog breeds.
Those barks were analyzed by artificial intelligence with different algorithms. That’s how this application was developed.
Dog owner Moon Sae-Mi was one of the people who got the artificial intelligent collar. It has been very helpful for her because she had a lot of misinterpretation about her dog’s feelings. She said that when her pet, Godo, would bark during their playtime, she thought it was because she was happy.
When she got the collar, it turned out that Godo got mad every time she lost a game. She also thought that Godo got anxious she was not around. She found out that Godo felt safe when he was alone. He does not mind not having her mom at home with her.
Moon Sae-Mi can now understand her pet’s feelings more, and it has helped her tremendously. She learned how to handle Godo better. The device could not only translate a dog’s feeling. It can also record the dog’s physical activities and rest times.
The collar has been deemed helpful. Since the pandemic, there has been an increased number of adoption. Unfortunately, some of these adoptions did not work because of miscommunication. This device would help solve that problem.
Andrew Gil is proud that they have developed this gadget. He is looking forward to having more people use it and better understand their dog’s feelings.
