Dogs have no idea when they become heroes. They follow orders or do what is right, and that’s it. Whether they realize it or not, dogs that save lives deserve all the praise in the world. One of those courageous canines is Max, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bulldog hybrid.
While Pit Bulls are frequently chastised for being a “Bully breed,” this lovely pup demonstrated how nice they could be by saving a youngster from drowning. The youngster might not have survived if Max hadn’t come to his aid.
Beaches are uplifting places, especially for dogs who enjoy being in the water. When the water current picks up, though, it isn’t so happy. In Port Noarlunga, Australia, Rob Osborn and Max were relaxing on the river’s sandy coast. It was all fun until they noticed a youngster stuck in the current pickup truck.
When Osborn saw the youngster in trouble, he prepared to swim out himself. But then he noticed Max’s eagerness to swim once more. As a result, Osborn yelled at the puppy and pointed at the boy. Max jumped into the water without hesitation and did precisely what he was ordered.
Max paddled out to him, sporting an attractive dog life jacket. When the pup approached, Osborn encouraged the child to call Max, and the youngster clutched the life jacket’s handle. The toddler was afraid, but at least he was in good hands.
The child clung to the perfect pup for dear life as he paddled back to shore, where his mother awaited him. The toddler appeared to luckily be uninjured but was visibly shaken. Of course, Osborn was ecstatic about his furry pal.
Sadly, the youngster and his mother departed before the news crews arrived. They most likely wanted to get home as soon as possible. On the other hand, Osborn hopes they can find a method to contact him and inform him that the youngster is safe and well.
Max deserves all of the accolades in the world for his bravery. Hopefully, his philanthropic approach will demonstrate to the rest of the world that all dogs, mainly Pit Bulls, can be wonderful friends and even heroes. After all, this brave canine came to the rescue before any humans.
