On July 2nd, a woman discovered a stray dog in her neighborhood. This dog had been living on the streets for at least two and a half years. The woman was determined despite others’ unsuccessful attempts to catch the dog. She was determined to make him part of her family.
At first, she kept her distance from the dog, allowing it to get used to her scent and presence. Then, she brought a candle and some chicken every night to lure it closer. Her persistence paid off as the dog began to follow the trail of chickens to her.
Finally, on July 24th, the woman and her friends were able to catch the dog. Overjoyed, she discovered that it was a female and gave her the name Miley. The woman became Miley’s foster mom and eventually adopted her.
Miley was a sweet and gentle dog who loved playing with other dogs in the yard. The woman was amazed that Miley had survived for so long on the streets and was grateful to have saved her.
Miley settled into her new home. Her foster mom wondered about the other stray dogs in the neighborhood. She knew that she had to do something to help them too. She started working with local animal welfare organizations.
She created a plan for a spay and neuter program in the neighborhood. With the help of volunteers, they were able to trap and spay or neuter dozens of dogs in the area. This prevents future litter and helps to control the stray dog population.
Miley’s journey inspired her foster mom to make a difference in the lives of other dogs. The woman’s efforts to help other stray dogs showed her compassion for animals. Miley was very fortunate that she was one of the dogs that her foster mom rescued.
