Everyone knows that getting a pet dog is a big responsibility. Not only do you need to be financially ready, but you also have to put in a lot of work and patience in order to become a bona fide dog parent. On top of these, you have to make sure that you are a good match for your doggo.
A lot of people take these factors for granted, and they end up being unhappy with the pup that they adopted. Sadly, this sometimes leads to them surrendering their dogs to an animal shelter. We wouldn’t be surprised if this is what happened to Boomer, the energetic shelter dog from Florida.
This senior pooch’s video of him spinning around inside his cage caught the attention of many netizens, including Jessica Davis. In fact, she enjoyed the video so much that she decided to fly out to Florida from California, just to give this pumped-up pupper a home.
In an interview, Jessica shared that she is also a high-energy individual, just like Boomer. So perhaps them being together isn’t exactly a bad idea.
When the dog mom picked her new pooch up from the shelter, he immediately jumped into the back of the rental car! It’s as if Boomer couldn’t wait to get his new life started. And when they got to the hotel, the pupper rolled around the bed for quite a while, just as Jessica expected.
The dog mom explained that she lives an active lifestyle, and she even runs the L.A. Half Marathon every year. And since she now has Boomer in her life, Jessica decided to include his energetic pup in the race. She knew that dogs weren’t allowed to run in the race, but luckily, the organizers didn’t mind.
