Sean Garrigan, an 85-year-old man from Brannoxtown, Trim, County Meath in Ireland, had a dog named Brandy. Brandy, a Springer Spaniel, was Sean’s home companion for 12 years until one day, he was gone. Sean believed that his dog was stolen.
Sean and his son, Aidan, tried to look for Brandy, but unfortunately, they failed. They were starting to lose hope as the days went by without knowing the dog’s whereabouts.
Sean feared the worst for Brandy, but he tried his best to be optimistic that Brandy would go home one day. Moreover, Sean and Aidan had discovered that there was an increase in missing and stolen dogs in the area.
Police officers were also notified about Brandy’s loss.
A month after Brandy had gone missing, the police found a dog 30 miles away from Sean’s home. The officer scanned the dog’s microchip to confirm if he was Sean’s lost dog, Brandy. After confirming that the lucky dog they had found was Brandy, they called Sean to inform him. Sean couldn’t believe that his beloved dog was still alive!
Sean considers Brandy as his reason to live; that is why he is so happy to know that his best dog friend is still alive after a month of being lost.
Brandy also got excited as soon as he arrived home. He ran towards the door to see Sean. Brandy couldn’t stop wagging his tail as soon as he saw his fur dad.
The police still couldn’t determine who took Brandy, but Sean didn’t mind anymore if the investigation would come to a dead-end.
Aidan also shared the news about Brandy on Facebook. He would often share photos of missing dogs in the area in the hopes that they would found soon. He also told people that they should never lose hope in finding their dogs, especially if they had microchips.
