It is a bit unusual for a dog to befriend a cat, but it isn’t entirely impossible, as well. Take this adorable pup from Colorado, for example. When his fur parents decided to adopt a rescue cat, it didn’t take long for him to treat the kitty as his real sibling, and now their adorable relationship is warming the hearts of the internet.
Cynthia Bennett and her partner, Andre Sibilsky, moved to Colorado from Massachusetts a few years ago. As the couple got used to their new home, they eventually discovered a love for the outdoors and began to explore Colorado’s vivid landscape.
Later on, they realized they wanted a furry friend to accompany them during their hikes and camping. So after checking out the nearby shelters, they adopted the outgoing and bubbly pup, Henry, whose personality perfectly fitted their lifestyle.
The pup would typically tag along to his fur parents’ many adventures in the state, and Cynthia and Andre enjoyed having him around. However, on days when Henry would be left alone in the house, the couple realized that he had severe separation anxiety.
That was when they decided to adopt a companion for Henry, a rescue cat from Evergreen, Colorado named Baloo. At first, Cynthia and Andre were worried about how the pup would react to a feline brother. But thankfully, the duo warmed up to each other quickly.
In fact, whenever the couple would take Henry and Baloo out on camping trips, the pup would always help his little brother out and carry him for most of the hike. Of course, the fur parents never let their adorable moments pass without capturing a souvenir photo or video.
They would then share the pictures and clips on the duo’s social media pages, and in no time at all, their Instagram and TikTok accounts attracted hundreds and thousands of followers! Watch Henry and Baloo’s adorable relationship here.
