The temperature was around 90 degrees Fahrenheit when fans of the Kansas City Royals saw something disturbing in the parking lot of Kauffman Stadium.
Kansas resident Josh Lee, along with his wife, son, and brother, left the game during the eighth inning when they heard a muffled sound coming from one of the vehicles. When they peered inside the window, they were shocked to see a puppy crying inside.
It might have been a wonderful day for a ballgame, but it was not ideal for any living being to be trapped inside a hot vehicle. The group was dumbfounded. It was very possible that the owner was inside and had been watching the game. This meant that the young pooch had been inside the car for hours.
Forced open
Since it was likely the case, the dog must have been suffering for a long time. There is a high probability that the pooch might be dehydrated and maybe get a heatstroke. So they knew that they had to act fast.
Because the window was slightly cracked open, Josh and his brother wedged their fingers on top of the glass and forced it to slide down. They got the window far enough to create a space where they could reach the handle and open the door.
They grabbed the 16-week-old pooch and took him to the shade. While giving the puppy some water, they also called the stadium staff, who then reported the matter to the cops.
Unclaimed
The puppy stayed with the stadium staff, and they waited for someone to claim him. they left a note on the owner’s vehicle, but they never came around. When Josh and his brother learned about this, they went to the stadium office. His brother was more than happy to give them pup a forever home.
Thanks to these concerned Royals fans, the puppy was saved and given a better life.
