It’s awful that there are dog owners who abandon their pets when they become too old or ill. While it is true that vet treatments and drugs for dogs are costly, we must not forget how much our dogs have done to make us happy. Dogs are animals that are really clever, innocent, and affectionate creatures and it is only fitting that families and owners like us provide them the best care.
Senior dogs residing in shelters have a low likelihood of being adopted. Most folks desire energetic and playful puppies. In addition, nobody wants to adopt an older dog due to the high cost of treating their medical concerns.
Thankfully, there are individuals with golden hearts who devote their time and energy to assisting aging pets. Two of these individuals are the couple Chris and Mariesa. Chris and Mariesa are so dedicated to providing senior dogs a second opportunity at a forever home that they founded Mr. Mo Project, a rescue group.
Chris and Mariesa began modestly by distributing care packages to senior shelter canines. Eventually, the breadth of their work grew to the point that they took senior dogs from the shelter and brought them to live with them as part of their family.
Chris and Mariesa also began fostering older canines from all across the United States. Through their efforts, the couple has saved almost 500 dogs.
The beginning of Chris and Mariesa’s endeavor was a senior dog named Moses who had outstayed his welcome at the shelter. Chris and Mariesa rescued Moses from the animal shelter and gave him a permanent, loving home.
The couple began discussing about rescuing older dogs like Moses after the dog’s passing. They also observed that a large number of senior dogs living in shelters are euthanized because of the high costs that come with caring for them.
Chris and Mariesa have acquired a large number of extraordinary supporters, for whom they are eternally thankful. The couple are remarkable individuals who actively improve the lives of older dogs. They ensure that the older dogs they save enjoy the highest quality of life for the remainder of their lives.
