We should be kind to both humans and animals. Thus, helping animals is a priceless deed.
The cop’s kind-hearted actions
Deputy Joshua Fiorelli, a Florida police officer, is one of the sound, kind-hearted people. Fiorelli sympathized with a dog that suffered from a car accident.
The police officer took the dog in pain beside the road and tried to comfort her. He removed his jacket and covered the dog. Furthermore, the cop continued caressing the dog as he waited for help.
The cop’s kindness attracted Carol Irizzy, a passerby who took a photo of the police with the dog. Carol and the officer chatted.
The cop told Carol that the weather wasn’t conducive to the dog’s well-being, so he decided to warm the dog with his jacket. Furthermore, the cop said that most dogs become aggressive when hurt, but the one he rescued was relatively calm.
The dog’s treatment
The cop took the dog to Osceola County Animal Center for treatment. After observing the dog’s health, the staff planned to do surgery so that the dog could recover fully.
Although the dog did not have a microchip, the staff held it for three days, waiting for the owners to come forward.
The cop was happy that the dog would recover. The officer urged people to care for their dogs and microchip them for easy tracing if they ran away.
The cop’s advice
Furthermore, the police officer said that dogs might only be part of our lives, but we humans are the dogs’ whole lives.
Carol posted a photo of a touching moment between the cop and the dog, which went viral on social media. When Osceola County Sherriff’s Office members saw the officer giving the dog care and compassion, they appreciated him.
Finally, we should learn that kindness to animals is priceless and try to imitate the cop’s character.
