Last month, Shelly Blount ran across a post online about a dog from North Carolina, which was about to be put down. She immediately contacted the shelter, and, to her relief, she learned that the dog got adopted.
Thinking that there might be other dogs that were in danger, Shelly asked if someone is scheduled to be put down. The shelter staff told her that the next one is Caleb. So, Shelly and her friend took the four-hour drive from Virginia to the shelter to rescue the pup.

Upon their arrival, Shelly heard about the two other dogs that were also going to be put down. Because of that, she decided to take the three of them home. Shelly chose to save the three pups, even if she already owns three other rescue dogs at home.
According to Shelly, she asked if there’s any limit on the number of dogs that the shelter allows people to adopt. They told her that there wasn’t, so she decided to get them all. Shelly was only expecting to leave with Caleb that day. Instead, she went home with Caleb, Charisma, and Bella.

The three pups were very excited as they began driving home. Caleb’s tail was wagging nonstop while he was giving his mom lots of kisses. Bella was delighted to sit on the lap of Shelly’s friend. Charisma, on the other hand, wouldn’t let go of Shelly. She fell asleep while hugging her until they got home.
Shelly didn’t have a plan for her three new fur babies when she decided to adopt them. She didn’t have room for them in her house too. However, Shelly knew that she could not let them be taken down at the shelter.

Luckily, Shelly found new families for Caleb and Bella days after she took them home. Now, Caleb lives happily under the care of Shelly’s friend. There, Caleb enjoys playing with another Labrador. Then, Shelly’s boyfriend took Bella in, and they have since been inseparable.
Charisma would most likely stay with Shelly, mainly because they have already formed a deep bond. Aside from that, Shelly realized that this pup was pregnant, so she has more reason to care for her.
