We are well aware that dogs age faster than humans. Some say that one canine year is equivalent to seven human years although it may not be accurate.
According to scientific research, one year for a dog is equivalent to fifteen years for a human. Yes, you read correctly! This is the rate at which they age.
Aspiring pet owners typically get a much younger dog, and senior canines are sometimes overlooked. Unbeknownst to them, senior dogs are superior companions and are well-trained.
Take, for instance, this dog named Ace, who is nineteen years old. In human years, he would be one hundred thirty-five years old right now! However, this does not prevent him from enjoying life.
Ace still looks forward to strolling and playing with his foster dad, despite his age. He has so much energy that he can hop into the backseat of a car and hitchhike.
Ace may be too excited, but it is clear from his appearance that he is a senior dog. His right eye has already been affected by cataracts. However, he can still catch from close range.
In the video, the dog’s foster mother takes him to a pet store to purchase a new toy. Ace hastily entered the store upon his arrival, and after sniffing out a few toys, he decided to purchase a red fox for himself.
Everyone in the Sacramento SPCA shelter is buddies with the senior dog. He gets along quite well with other animals and occasionally leads the group on walks. Ace brings to reality the idiom that age is simply a number.
Just before the start of the new year, Ace found his forever home. He has just begun the year 2020 with his new family, with whom he is enjoying the greatest of times.
The story of this dog merely demonstrates that regardless of size, breed, or even age, all dogs are puppies in heart.
